We stock Trex Decking in Spiced Rum (Brown), and Island Mist (Grey). Special order colors are available but may affect both pricing and turnaround time according to product availability and cost.

No, these are a floating stair system. The floating system is a big advantage in both value and flexibility. Our stairs do not require a ledger board, so no siding modification is required. This also allows our clients to “unstack” the stairs if they need to be moved for a patio or siding repair, then set back in place. Once they are assembled, they weigh several hundred pounds, we have never had a set float away!

The short answer is yes. We use ground treat timber and composite materials that are rot resistant and can be set right on an existing patio, landscape rock, or grass. We do recommend installing a level gravel pad for permanent applications.

Due to building code/ordinance, we cannot exceed 29” (4 steps) in height with our system. At 30” in height, most municipalities require footings, a ledger board and railings.

There are 2 applicable warranties the first is a product warranty directly through Trex against manufacturing defects. The second We also carry a 3-year warranty against defects in craftsmanship.

We contract with a commercial steel fabricator that makes railings custom fit to our steps. They are black powder coated steel railings; we include the hardware (Usually 8 lag screws). All our stairs include structural support for railings if our clients want to add a railing later.

Trex decking requires minimal maintenance, primarily focused on keeping it clean to prevent staining and mold growth. Regular sweeping, occasional washing with soap and water, and prompt cleaning of spills are usually sufficient.

Lead time is dependent on our current backlog. We make every effort to complete construction in 5-7 days. Depending on your location, shipping can take 1-2 weeks. For customers local to the Twin Cities, we can deliver within a couple of days of completion.
